Camo Chic

Hello, Everyone!!!!.

Thanks to the fall- like temperatures over the weekend I woke up knowing exactly what I was going to wear,  starting with this oversized camouflage jacket. When I brought this camo jacket it was my exact size however after my weight loss it is about two sizes too big but I refuse to throw it away and have decided to wear it oversized from now on. It is best to pair oversized tops or jackets with more form- fitting bottoms to avoid looking disheviled. It was a no- brainer for me to pair my camo jacket with a taupe midi pencil skirt. It may be hard to believe but camo print is a neutral and can be mixed and matched with everything as well as other neutrals. I decided to pair it with taupes and blacks to complete the look. I tucked the black crop top into the taupe skirt to give the illusion of a bodysuit. Obviously I'm in a fall state of mind and choose a vampy purple lipstick instead of the usual pink lipstick and "Voilia" I was ready for my weekend classes.

Pink or Nude

Hello, Everyone!!!.

Some trends come and go while others stand the test of time. The bodysuit is one of those trends from the 90's that I've worn all the way from childhood until womenhood. The bodysuit has become the new sexy essential in every women's closet. It can easily be tucked in perfectly with anything in your closet from high waisted trousers to any style skirt. I've made it my mission to transition my summer pieces for fall, starting with this pink nude bodysuit from Boohoo. I've paired it with off-white high waisted jeans and minimalist heels. I decided to drape my denim shirt over my shoulders like a cape in anticipation for the cool breeze of the night. I purchased these cool sunglasses from a street festival a few years ago that I never worn. I choose theses nude sunglasses because it complimented the pink bodysuit so well. Lastly I accessorized with a faux snake print handbag and silver choker necklace.

A Pop of Yellow

Hello, Everyone!!!.

Fall has officially arrived but it doesn't mean you have to throw your summer wardrobe to the back of your closet just yet, especially your whites !!!!. I'm not sure who created the rule that you shouldn't wear white after labor day however every year I break that rule (seen HERE). Earlier this week, I paired my white peplum blazer with another summer essential , the crop top. To make the combination Fall - appropriate  I choose a pair of high waisted trousers and black mules to ground the look. Lastly I accessorized with a simple choker necklace that I wear all the time.

Florals to the Max

Hello, Everyone !!!.

The summer season has gone by so fast and
I haven't worn any maxi dresses so this outfit is long overdue. There is a little secret behind this dress it is actually by the maternity line at Target. I fell in with the purple floral pattern immediately .The advantages of wearing maternity brands when you are not pregnant is the dress will expand with you at your heaviest or lowest weight. This dress has been with me thru thick and thin although it fits much looser now but it still fits great after my weight loss. Who doesn't love a floor length maxi dress?!!. It is the most easiest item in any women's wardrobe. It can be easily dressed up or down when paired with key accessories. I decided to pair my maxidress with a brown suede belt to accentuate my waist. Normally I wear my maxi dresses with flat sandals but I decided to go for strappy wedge sandal for extra height. I finished the look off with a gold choker necklace and a large tote bag to carry my daily school essentials.
