Summer Boho

Hello, Everyone !!!. Yesterday was a nice summer day, so I decided to wear a long sleeve dress.  This printed dress is rather short in length so the sheer sleeves provide a airy look with extra coverage that I like. To define my waist, I cinch in the dress with a slim black belt. I paired the dress with the most comfortable wedges that I own right now. I topped the look off with my favorite floppy hat but honestly I need to invest in more straw hats that are more appropriate for the summer.

What to Wear to a Wedding Reception

Hello, Everyone!!. Here is what I wore on a recent shopping trip with my mom.  I was on a mission to find the perfect outfit to wear to a reception party and the perfect gift for the bride and groom. Don't you just hate when you can't find anything when you need it for a special event?. Needless to say,  I ended up wearing a outfit from my own closet with a brand new clutch. As you can see I changed my shoes, the blisters got the best of me.
THE PRICE OF BEAUTY, right?!!.

Lace-Ups & Short Shorts

Hello, Everyone!!!. I am so sorry for the lack of posts but lately I've been feeling uninspired. As you all know I am a full time student but unfortunately at the beginning of the month, I was told I would not be able to attend summer classes for the month of June or July which left me devastated.  Although I would not be able to attend summer school, I am looking forward to focusing on my blog more and enjoying my summer in other ways.
In other news, recently I brought these Chloe inspired lace-up gladiators sandals from Shoedazzle for a fraction of the price.

Summer has definitely arrived early in the tri-state area with the three H's everyone love hazy hot and their sister humid and I am taking full advantage of it. Today I paired these lace-up wedges with cut-off shorts and a black bodysuit.

I've been obsessing over bodysuits lately and purchased a few from Boohoo, a UK base website. I remember wearing bodysuits when I was 10 years old but after 17 years they have definitely evolved into a sexy basic in my existing wardrobe.

Basquiat

Hello, Everyone. Although I no longer live in Brooklyn, I am a true Brooklyn girl at heart. I would use any excuse to visit my favorite borough especially to attend a cool summer event.

\

Last weekend I was able to visit the Brooklyn Museum of Art to see the exhibit of an well known artist named Jean Michel Basquiat.

The exhibit featured rare unknown notebooks written by Basquiat himself filled with poetry and sketches. It was great to see inside of the mind of an art genius.

If you are ever in the New York City area, you should definitely check it out. It is well worth it, make a date!!.
 Thank me later...
