Goodbye 2015, Hello 2016

Hello Everyone!!!!\

I cannot believe it is only a day away from 2016. This year has filled with up and downs but I must say I've had the right people in my life to get thru it all. I'm happy that the semester is over because it was stressful however I've worn it very well. At the top of the year I started off with layering winter looks. The beauty of living in NYC we get to experience all seasons which I love because I get to find new ways to wear all my favorite pieces in different ways. I have an admiration for luxe items especially fur I own 5 different faux fur vest and they are my go-to outerwear. I used my faux fur vests to layer over my leather sleeve coat and t-shirts. If you haven't notice from my previous posts I loved wearing denim on denim and my camel cape every chance I got. I really don't remember wearing so many prints throughout the year but I definitely wore them boldly with floral
printed pants, dresses and blazers and my go-to print stripes. Taking a look back at all my outfits I realized a few patterns. I am guilty of wearing certain key items over and over again because I believe in getting the most out of the items in my wardrobe. Here is a quick recap of my favorite looks of 2015. I hope you all have an amazing new year!!!

Pantless on X-Mas

Hello, Everyone!!.

I hope you had a amazing Christmas and I hope you were able to spend time with your family and friends. The weather was unusually warm on Christmas day as you can tell by my lack of pants or overcoat. I've been looking for the perfect oversized sweater to wear as a dress from the moment I saw H&M runway show where the model wore an oversized sweater with over the knee boots. You can only imagine my excitement when I found this chunky turtleneck sweater during my last minute Christmas shopping for my boyfriend and myself. Almost instantaneously I thought of the number of ways I can wear it throughout the winter season. I decided to pair the oversized sweater with leather booties instead of over the knee boots to lengthen my legs however I will save that look for a much colder winter day.

The Secret is You Got To Coordinate

Hello, Everyone!!!

As you all read this, I am studying for my  finals. I cannot believe the semester is coming to an end but I can admit that I am thrilled. I am determined to end my Fall semester with a big bang academically and fashionably. At the beginning of the week I made my getting ready morning routine easier by choosing a quilted co-ordinate set. I brought this grey crop top and skirt coordinate set last year and have worn each piece with other items in my wardrobe but decided to wear them together this time. I am not a huge fan of boxy mini skirts because my hips are larger then my top half however I don't mind if they are a-line or skater style.  The short hem of the skirt allows extra leg room to wear my favorite thigh high boots. Then I added a leather jacket and faux fur vest to keep me warm.

Holy Chic, It's Hot in December

Hello, Everyone!!!!

I believe mother nature has loss her entire mind, I'm not complaining either. This morning I woke up to temperatures at 57 degrees but the good weather does not stop there the remaining of the weekend will be in the lower 60's. I can get use to this weather. I don't mind trading places with LA weather in December. Today I decided to sans the coat entirely and traded it in for my faux fur vest. I paired it with a graphic sweatshirt and loose fit trousers for a comfortable look for the last day of class.
