My Current Favorites

Hello, Everyone!!!.

 

I'm sorry I've been M.I.A lately but I've been putting my focus on job hunting this summer. I had two interviews so far but unfortunately  I was not offered the position. It has been a real learning curve for me but it hasn't stopped me from continuing my job search. I have faith that what is meant for me , will be for me. On another note, I can't believe the summer is half way through however I've  discovered  a few things that has become my summer favorites which I listed below.
 

1.Glamour: If you are unaware the September issue is the most coveted issue of the fashion year. Not only is the issue the biggest , it prepares you for the upcoming fall season. I've been wearing my hair in its natural state this summer and I've been looking for ways to wear my hair in the colder months. I am happy to see that hair accessories are in ,so I can adorn my fro with dazzling goods.

2. Movies & Chill: The Secret Lives of Pets because I am a big kid and every weekend my boyfriend always catches me watching cartoons,  so it was right up my alley.

Jason Bourne: I joked that Matt Damon may be too old for this series but it was actually good.
*spoiler alert they killed my girl Julia from Save the Last Dance which is one of my favorite teen movies 😐.

Now You See Me: This one was my boyfriend choice, although I didn't see the first one I actually liked.  If they make it into a trilogy I will go see it with him of course.

3. Adult coloring: There is a reason why children love to color and their parents as well. It is so calming and I honestly feel less stressed because my mind is not all over the place. I like to turn off my TV and just color away in complete silence.

4. Clutch: I like to call it my "throw it in the bag" clutch because I literally throw everything I need, just the bare minimum it comes in handy on date nights.

5. Highlighter: If you ever in Five Below you should check out their makeup section.  I've found this amazing highlighter that is perfect for wearing over your foundation or mixed in for all over glow.

6. Nail polish:  Like I've mentioned before I am on a job hunt and this grayish nude is the perfect color to wear to interviews or in my case all summer too.

7. Milani lip liner: I like to wear it as a lip color and sometimes I add gloss to the middle of my lips. It's the perfect lip color but better

8. Sonia Kashuk knockout eye shadow palette : I only wear neutral eye shadows so this palette is perfect. If you are like  me and need help with application, this palette shows you the way.

June has started out to be a very hot one so far. Its feeling more like summmer than spring , gone are the days of comfortable light jacket -wearing days. I would like to turn back the clock to May when I was able to wear light layers and not feel sticky at the end of the day. Hello, Everyone !!!.

 

April is very special month for me because the people that I hold closest to my heart  were born in this month including my mom, boyfriend who are right behind each other and also my best friend. That only means one thing , I have three reasons to celebrate their day, fashionably of course. Now that winter is far behind us, I want to recap the my favorite outfits that I wore in the month of March. I was able to wear my two favorite  pieces from the Who What Wear first collections for Target including the moto- jacket and cape blazer. I'm always wearing black and white but I was able to introduce this amazing cobalt blue moto jacket into one of my looks. I've own this leopard print shirt for over fours years now to inject new life into it by pairing it with any blazer but a chic cape blazer. You can never go wrong with black and white looks in the middle of winter, don't you agree?.

Hello, Everyone!!!.

It is the second week of March but lately its feeling more like the end of April. I can't not believe we are only two weeks away from Spring and I've been loving the spring preview this week with record breaking temperatures in the 70's. At the moment I am preparing some spring ready outfits that I can't wait to wear this week. In February, however I embraced some spring-like outfits in winter by ditching tights with skirts and occasionally wearing capes instead of winter coats. My favorite outfits that I wore in February has to be the striped midi skirt outfit and my birthday outfit, they both got positive reviews from my classmates and strangers on the street. Another one of my favorites was  this jacquard print cardigan/ cape from H&M because I am such a fan of wearing statement outerwear with a simple outfit.

Welcome to the month of February also known as my birth month. Like one my favorite entertainer , Rihanna my birthday is quickly approaching  and I'm not sure how I feel about 28 years old but enough of me crying about turning into a old lady. Here are a few looks of my last days of being 27. 

During the month of January, I stuck with my go- to all black looks  by adding knitted  textures to leather pieces. I  also introduced a few trendy pieces such as  the suede culottes and a vintage plaid skirt.
