The Key to Layering in Spring

Hello, Everyone!!. Spring is here, but the temperature suggest otherwise. To put me in a Spring mood , I've been introducing floral into my weekly outfits. Today I choose a pair of floral pants that I brought from the thrift shop for less than $9 but they are made by the brand Mango. I have worn them countless times they definitely have the worn-in look that I love .
Today I paired it with a simple tank top under a leather jacket which I layered my safari vest over. I kept the accessories simple with a statement necklace and a burgundy bag that matches the floral.

Some Sunday Style #21

(All images via fy-zoeisabella.tumblr )

This weeks inspiration is brought to you by Zoe Kravtiz, the daughter of Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz. Every time I scroll thru her Instagram or come across her pictures on tumblr I am amazed by her sense of style. But of course she a great sense of style, her parents are TV and music royalty.
She has definitely  inspired me to get box braids for the upcoming Spring season , she makes them look so good with whatever she wears.

Who are some of your style inspirations of the week?...

Inspired by

Hello, Everyone!!. Today's outfit was inspired by an unknown stylish lady in Paris. I've saved this picture on my  Pinterest  for months and I've been waiting for the perfect Winter day to recreate it . As soon as I saw her outfit I instantly thought of the items I own in my closet to recreate the look. I  quickly made a checklist of my wardrobe starting with the dark floral pants ✓, leather sleeve coat ✓ a matching hat to match the pants ✓and  ✓. I brought these floral pants a few summers ago from my favorite store, Target they are reversible with floral and tribal prints on either side (seen below)

The dark floral print is perfect for injecting some color into your Winter wardrobe while the tribal pant is great for the Springtime. I pulled the colors from the pants  to match the top and hat. I choose a deep purple mock neck top and a brighter purple knitted turban hat to pair with the pants.

Although she is wearing open toe shoes with her outfit in Paris, unfortunately living in NYC I do not have that luxury so I picked a pair of wedge booties to save my toesies in this winter blast we experienced today.

That 70's Show

Hello, Everyone!!!. Here is a quick look at what I wore to school yesterday.
If you didn't know already, the 70's is making a huge comeback for the upcoming Spring season. I am jumping into this trend HEAD FIRST with these pair of wide- leg jeans.

Although trends come and go, classic pieces in your wardrobe will last you forever. I brought these jeans over 7 years ago and I refuse to get rid of them even when I could no longer fit into them because they compliment my shape so well. You can not go wrong with jeans that flatter your shape but also elongates your legs effortlessly.
I paired these awesome pair of  jeans with a leopard print top that I tied at the waist to
show off my shape. I topped the look off with my favorite combination at the moment , my tan cape and plaid scarf .
Outfit Details:
Cape: Forever 21
Scarf: Target
Sweater: H&M
Jeans: Gap
 Bag: Target/ Barnes & Noble
Boots: Forever 21

Here are a few denim options to get you ready for Spring

Leopard Lady

Hello, Everyone!!!.  Yesterday was another beautiful day in New York City and I am loving it. I kept my look casual by pairing old basics with a few trendy pieces.

I started off with a simple white T-shirt that I paired with my leather joggers that are very trendy at the moment.
The leather elevates the casual nature of the traditional sweatpants/joggers. I love a fabulous boot with a heel however I decided to take a mini-break from heels and wear slip on sneakers with a leopard print.

It is the perfect print that goes with everything without overwhelming the entire look.  I choose to layer an oversized hoodie under my trench coat to keep me warm when the temperature drops at night.
I am looking forward to more days like this...

Hoodie: Men's section
