Oversized Trench

Hello, Everyone!!!. Tomorrow is officially the last day of classes. The semester is almost over for me and I am currently studying for finals. Please help me!!!. Although I am preparing for finals, I will not let it cramp my style. Yesterday I wore one of my favorite dresses that I had forever, it has been in my closet since the year 2007. I brought it when I worked at Banana Republic. It was nice and breezy day so I paired the dress with a long navy trenchcoat. The trenchcoat is a wardrobe staple in every women's closet but this one has a style update because of the oversized silthotte. I finished the look with strappy wedges and a simple choker necklace.

That 70's Show

Hello, Everyone!!!. Here is a quick look at what I wore to school yesterday.
If you didn't know already, the 70's is making a huge comeback for the upcoming Spring season. I am jumping into this trend HEAD FIRST with these pair of wide- leg jeans.

Although trends come and go, classic pieces in your wardrobe will last you forever. I brought these jeans over 7 years ago and I refuse to get rid of them even when I could no longer fit into them because they compliment my shape so well. You can not go wrong with jeans that flatter your shape but also elongates your legs effortlessly.

I paired these awesome pair of  jeans with a leopard print top that I tied at the waist to
show off my shape. I topped the look off with my favorite combination at the moment , my tan cape and plaid scarf .

Marsala, Much?

Hello, Everyone,  I hope you having a good week so far.
This is what I wore to school yesterday. According to the Pantone Color Institute, Marsala is the color of the year. In the words of the Executive Director, Leatrice Eiseman "This hearty, yet stylish is universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings and interiors". It can easily be used in your home or your wardrobe, HOW GREAT IS THAT?.

Burgundy is the great color to wear monochromatic other than the traditional black or white. I dressed myself from the bottom to the top  starting with these pair of burgundy wedge sneakers. I paired the sneakers with colored jeans in the same color. These very frigid temperatures in NYC has made my faux fur vest a major fixture in my daily outfits. they add warmth under my Winter coats but also a stylish flair.

I decided to wear a pinkish beige under the faux fur vest and I topped it off a statement necklace. My marsala obsession did not end there I also decided to carry a marsala colored bag to hold all of my necessities for the day.

Maxi-mium Effect

Hello, Everyone!!! After a week of school, the weekend is finally here.
On Thursday I was given the opportunity to wear this amazing pleated maxi skirt.

If it was up to me, I would wear my dresses and skirts every single day they instantly make me feel dressed up with very little effort. However wearing them can be a bit of a challenge in the colder months, it takes some serious layering skills to maintain your style and stay warm.

This skirt is not necessarily for Winter because of the sheer thin overlay so I added a pair of skinny jeans and thick leggings underneath. My original plan was to wear the maxi skirt with wedge booties but my wedge sneakers were more comfortable after a long day. I choose a simple v-neck sweater to keep the attention on the skirt.

Lately I've been into wearing belts over everything from tops to jackets and today wasn't any different. I choose a thinner belt this time to define  my waist  over the long layers.

I did not want to wear a oversize winter coat so I choose my favorite motorcycle leather jacket and faux fur vest to achieve the most flattering look in proportion.

I finished the look with a simple collar necklace, beige cowl and an amazing turban style hat made by my mom. As I previous discussed I fell in love with this red lipstick by Black Radiance I couldn't resist wearing it again.

Target Style

Hello, Everyone !!, If you can believe it or not all my whole outfit is from Target. My obsession with Target is quite alarming if you ask me. It is the only place that I go in looking for one thing and come out with everything from food, makeup, and of course great fashion finds. Before my weight loss, these jeans were my favorite skinny jeans they fit me perfectly in a size 14.

However after my weight loss they are no longer my favorite skinny jeans but they have become my favorite boyfriend style jeans. I understand how the boyfriend jean have become a favorite for all women because you are allowed to take a break from your skinnies without sacrificing your style or looking unkempt. They can be worn for casual or dressy occasions as well. Today I decided to keep it casual by pairing it with a green crop top that I brought on clearance a few months ago.

You can definitely winterize your crop top by pairing it with your Winter items. I choose to pair it with this amazing faux fur vest that features a sweater back. .

This mixed media vest is the best of both worlds. It is very lightweight so you are able to wear under your Winter coats without adding any bulk unlike most faux fur vests I owned.

I always find the most amazing jewelry from street vendors for great prices. I decided to top off the look with this amazing statement necklace that have angel and crosses charms.

I finished the look with my taupe booties that match the faux fur vest.

Off-Duty Attire

Hi, Everyone !!!. Sorry I've been MIA but honestly I'm enjoying my winter break doing absolutely nothing.  As of late. my outfits haven't been too fashionable, they only consist of pajamas or sweaters with jeans.
Here is a recreation of what I wore yesterday.

Winter Basics

However yesterday I had to run some errands, I didn't bother getting dressed up because it is freezing in the Northeast. My outfit consisted of layers, layers and more layers.  I started the look off with two pairs of leggings, YES I SAID 2!!!. For my top I choose a simple button down shirt that features two pockets in the front. I accessorized with multiple long necklaces taken from my moms closet, OUR LITTLE SECRET, OK?!!!. Leggings are the best pairings for the very at-the-moment over the knee boots because of the skinny leg and it also elongates your legs, which is a bonus for short women like me.

My layering did not stop there, I layered my upper half by wearing my trusty open cardigan under my leather jacket and I choose my 3/4 sleeved wool coat that I brought from Banana Republic to wear over everything.  I finished the look off with a grey beanie & thick scarf that my mom made for me. I hope you are staying warm wherever you live, WINTER IS HERE TO STAY!!!.
