Suede Culottes

Hello, Everyone!!!!!

Over the weekend I was invited to my godbabies 1st birthday party which was a blast. Unfortunately the weather was not on my side, it is now feeling like January with our first snow flurries. However the upside I got to wear my new suede camel culottes that I brought for myself as a Christmas gift. Camel will remain an classic but luxe shade that can be paired well with any color but also looks defined when worn from head to toe. I try to combine several shades of camel to complete the look starting with suede platform boots that I've owned since high school. The platform boots are a few shades darker than the culottes which make them a perfect match. I've recently purchase a few matte liquid lipsticks from Colourpop that are dupes for the Kylie Lip Kit that I am loving right now. To break up the camel I topped off the look with a black leather contrast sleeve camel coat. Camel and black are the perfect color combination to wear for Winter.

Leopard Lady

Hello, Everyone!!!.  Yesterday was another beautiful day in New York City and I am loving it. I kept my look casual by pairing old basics with a few trendy pieces.

I started off with a simple white T-shirt that I paired with my leather joggers that are very trendy at the moment.

The leather elevates the casual nature of the traditional sweatpants/joggers. I love a fabulous boot with a heel however I decided to take a mini-break from heels and wear slip on sneakers with a leopard print.

It is the perfect print that goes with everything without overwhelming the entire look.  I choose to layer an oversized hoodie under my trench coat to keep me warm when the temperature drops at night.

I am looking forward to more days like this...

Camel Love

Camel coats are a timeless piece that never goes out of style.
From a young girl, I always loved the allure of a classic wool coat that shows off a women's natural shape but maintains a ladylike appeal.

A little black dress is the perfect pairing for a camel coat.
I choose a simple long sleeved black dress  that I paired with my wedge sneakers to keep the look casual and comfortable. To add some glam, I choose a gold and black layered necklace that features charms.

The statement piece of the outfit is this fabulous mixed media coat by Bebe. It features an exposed zipper and leather sleeves with a wrap belt to cinch in the waist creating an hourglass effect.

Dress: Banana Republic (similar)
Sneakers: Target (high end version)

Here are some lovely ladies rocking this trend on the streets.
Will you be wearing camel this season?..

Another Day, Same Cape

Capes are essential for every women's Fall wardrobe. It is the perfect layering outerwear when you are not ready to pull out your Winter coats.  If you haven't notice already, I love wearing black and  white together, it is my go-to combination. If it works for you it makes it easier to recreate the same look in different ways.

Yesterday I added my beige cape to break up the black and white, and to add flair to the basic silhouette.

This cape hits me at my knee so to streamline the look I worn my cape over a basic white button down top and faux leather leggings to keep it simple.

My leopard print loafers matches the cape perfectly and ties the whole look together.  I finished the look with my favorite red lipstick by Wet n Wild and turquoise sunglasses.
