I thought we retired the Summer season until next year but clearly mother nature didn't receive that memo. However I love any excuse to wear sheer skirts without the hassle of wearing tights. If you want to prolong the lives of your sleeveless dress, I would suggest to wear any top or sweater of your liking over it. Today I decided to pair my sleeveless lace maxi dress with a graphic t-shirt and no one is the wiser. I knotted the front of the t-shirt to show off my waist. To put the look together I accessorized with a leather jacket, floppy hat and double stranded silver necklace.

Although we have about two weeks until October is over, I am finding ways to breathe new life into my favorite maxi dresses. I brought this dress from an affordable boutique in Downtown Brooklyn a few years ago. It has an edgy, geometric Afrocentric print with earthy and green tones that I absolutely adore. It shares a uncanny resemblance to the scarf print column maxi dresses in Givenchy resort '13 collection (seen HERE). I decided to keep the look simple by accessorizing with a gold plated necklace because the dress speaks for itself. I paired the maxi dress with a leather jacket and wedge mules to complete the look.

Hello, Everyone !!!.  

 

 

The summer season has gone by so fast and 

I haven't worn any maxi dresses so this outfit is long overdue. There is a little secret behind this dress it is actually by the maternity line at Target. I fell in with the purple floral pattern immediately .The advantages of wearing maternity brands when you are not pregnant is the dress will expand with you at your heaviest or lowest weight. This dress has been with me thru thick and thin although it fits much looser now but it still fits great after my weight loss. Who doesn't love a floor length maxi dress?!!. It is the most easiest item in any women's wardrobe. It can be easily dressed up or down when paired with key accessories. I decided to pair my maxidress with a brown suede belt to accentuate my waist. Normally I wear my maxi dresses with flat sandals but I decided to go for strappy wedge sandal for extra height. I finished the look off with a gold choker necklace and a large tote bag to carry my daily school essentials.
