Jumpin', Jumpin'

Hello. Everyone!!!.

Summer is slowly ending kicking and screaming. I am looking forward to the days when I can wear a light jacket or sweater draped over my shoulders on my way to school. Fortunately yesterday I got my wish, I woke up to thunder and heavy downpours which gave the tri-state area a much needed cool down. Originally I planned on wearing denim cuts with a t-shirt and sleeveless vest but that quickly changed when I listened to the weatherman and witnessed it for myself. I decided to go with an all black outfit featuring my new wide leg jumpsuit. This jumpsuit saved my life one day when I was caught in a unexpected intense thunderstorm during a family cook-out. We had to end the festivities earlier then expected but the damage was done, we were all drenched from head-to-toe. I had plans to go to movie theatre with my boyfriend to see "Straight Outta Compton" later that evening and I couldn't go home to change so I had to think fast.

While walking to meet up with him, I ran into a reasonably priced boutique in Downtown Brooklyn where I found this lovely jumpsuit. Thank God I was wearing the right accessories and shoes that complimented the jumpsuit so well. Like every other shopaholic, I just need one reason to buy something new especially a chic jumpsuit. Yesterday I paired the halter- top style jumpsuit with a oversized open cardigan to keep me warm under air condition situations. I choose a gold metal-plated to cinch in my waist and gold thong sandals to finish the look. To add a bold pop of color to my outfit, I choose a red lipstick by the brand Black Radiance. Recently I mentioned that I adore this brand you should definitely check them out for yourself.
You will not regret it.....

Hello, Everyone !!!!. Today's style post is dedicated to rompers and jumpsuits. They are the next best thing to wearing a dress. It is a easiest piece to throw on and head out the door. Like their other one piece counterparts ,they can be dressed up with heeled sandals or dressed down with flats or boots.
I recently wore a romper for my trip to Coney Island (seen HERE) and it was perfect for getting on rides and walking the boardwalk. You can definitely took the look from day to night instantaneously.

How do you wear your rompers?

Until next time, XOXO

November Favorites

After a day of creating new memories with my best friend and her family (also known as my second family), my belly was full of good food and lots of laughter. I am thankful for having such great people in my life and I love spending times with those i care about the most. I can not believe the year is almost over so I thought I would take a quick look back at my favorite outfits of the month.

The Bride Wore a Cape

Over the weekend Solange got married in New Orleans  and it was nothing but amazing!!!. She is definitely my hair and style inspiration. Being a style icon of mine she did not disappoint, changing a total of five times during her magical night.

Here are a few amazing pictures for Vogue by photographer Rog Walker

She wore this dress that featured a caped from Humberto Leon by Kenzo which she accessorized with double gold cuffs by Jill for Lady Grey, and Stuart Weitzman shoes.

Her groom, Alan Ferguson wore Lanvin

Her bridal party consisted of her mother Tina Knowles and her sister Beyonce, alongside singer Janelle Monae.

Solange in Stephane Rolland Jumpsuit

Solange Knowles and her groom Alan Ferguson arrived to their wedding on matching white bikes. She accessorized her basket with white roses.

She wore an Ellery dress & Loeffler Randall heels to her rehearsal dinner.

Here is another jumpsuit that featured an gauzy cape

This last number was an one- shouldered hybrid of a jumpsuit and dress with ruffles.

She definitely gave me some wedding ideas for my very own special day!!!
Until next time, XOXO

Jumping for Jumpsuits

This jumpsuit is my fool proof outfit when I can't decide on what to wear. It is the easiest piece to wear because I do not have to worry about finding a matching top and bottom. Jumpsuits gives you the opportunity to have different looks by easily changing the shoes and accessories or by adding extra layers. The neutral color lends to countless possibilities and you can effortlessly transition
 from season to season.

In the cooler months , I layered it over a striped crop top, and picked a pair of  pointy-toe flats and leather sleeve coat for extra warmth.

In the warmer months, I paired it with my floppy hat, tribal silver necklace and wedges to give a bohemian look.
Floppy Hat: American Apparel Wedges:Target (Similar) Necklace: Street Vendor

But today I decided to go against the floppy hat and instead I choose a open bat- winged sweater and  accessorized with a mixed-metal long necklace and ankle strap heels from H&M.

Simple & Easy.....
