Some trends come and go while others stand the test of time. The bodysuit is one of those trends from the 90's that I've worn all the way from childhood until womenhood. The bodysuit has become the new sexy essential in every women's closet. It can easily be tucked in perfectly with anything in your closet from high waisted trousers to any style skirt. I've made it my mission to transition my summer pieces for fall, starting with this pink nude bodysuit from Boohoo. I've paired it with off-white high waisted jeans and minimalist heels. I decided to drape my denim shirt over my shoulders like a cape in anticipation for the cool breeze of the night. I purchased these cool sunglasses from a street festival a few years ago that I never worn. I choose theses nude sunglasses because it complimented the pink bodysuit so well. Last Days of Short - Shorts

Hello, Everyone!!!.

 

 

Thank God, the Fall season officially starts next week on Wednesday. I am looking forward to temperatures only reaching low to mid 70's and not mid 90 degrees. However before the temps start to cool down, I've decided to give my favorite denim cut-offs one last run. Over the weekend, I choose this outfit to wear to my morning class and later out for date night. I have to admit that all of my shorts I've created myself from old jeans I already own or from thrift shops. I love the option of making shorts exactly the way I want from scratch. I paired my denim cut-offs with what else but my favorite denim shirt. I  accessorized with a coral flowered statement necklace that I rarely wear but I figured it match perfectly with the woven bag and my pedicure.

Denim, Darling

Denim on denim also known as the "Canadian Tuxedo", is one of favorites pairings when I don't want to put in any effort into my look. I hate to admit this but I currently owned five denim shirts that range in different washes, sizes and prices so I can recreate this look in countless ways. The key to wearing denim on denim is starting with denims that have different washes to avoid reviving the looks from the 80's. 

Yesterday I choose one of my lightest washes to pair with a mid-wash skinny jeans to create the perfect denim on denim effect.

To add some drama to my foundation pieces I choose my cape, plaid scarf & bright green bag to finish off the look.

To depart from my usual statement necklace, I added a couple of rings.
