The End of Summer

Hello, Everyone!!!.

I brought this two piece set from Target at least two years ago and it's still trendy today. I've worn the pieces of this set on the blog, however only with other pieces in my closet but never together. It goes to show you if you shop smart for trendy pieces, you should be able to rework them for different seasons with other items. It is that time of the year when the early morning temperatures are slightly cooler than midday so I decided to pair the two piece set with a denim jacket. The head to toe print allowed me to keep the accessories and shoes nice and simple.

Bombs Over Brooklyn

Hello, Everyone!!!!.

I can't believe we are literally days away from Fall. Last friday we got a brief preview of what's to come,  hence the floral print bomber I have draped over my shoulders.  Fall happens to be one of my seasons because I can get away with wearing my summer favorites with this bomber jacket. Bomber jackets are a must have for fall and very versatile. I wore this outfit to class and then later for date night. I paired the floral bomber jacket with highwaisted pants and a tank top that I cropped myself. I've been wearing my D.I.Y choker with pretty much everything, so it made the perfect accessory with the bomber.

Two 90's trend in one outfit for the win !!

All Leather Everything

Hello Everyone!!! . I hope you are having a great start to your week.
I recently brought these R13 leather chap inspired jeans from H&M for a fraction of the designer price. They are the best of both worlds with the leather legs and black denim on top, two of my favorite things. They can easily be dressed up or down so yesterday I paired them with a simple tank and leather jacket. I accessorized with a gold pendant necklace and a bright red lip.

In the Trenches

Hello, it is the second day of rain in NYC and I'm fully equipped with the perfect trench coat and over the knee boots to stay warm and dry. This trench coat is from the Mad Men collection for Banana Republic.

I have an infatuation with designer collaborations with reasonable prices. I believe I brought this trench coat on sale and with my employee discount it costed close to pennies. Who doesn't love a good bargain?. The silhouette is reminiscent of the fashion in the '60s because of the a-line bottom which was portrayed in the show Mad Men.

My favorite prints hands down are leopard print and stripes, both prints can be worn as neutrals and goes with any and everything. Today I did not want to second guess my outfit so I picked out a sweater and jeans to be the foundation of my outfit. I added a long statement necklace to add some glam to an boring sweater.

A leopard print trench coat elevates the look from casual to dressy. Every women needs a good trench coat on the days when she does not know what to wear especially on rainy days.

Maxi-mizied

Dark colored lips scream fall to me. It is the perfect opportunity to wear the darkest colors without any unwanted attention. I am wearing my all-time favorite dark lip by Revlon called Va-Va Violet I lined my lips with a lip liner by Wet n Wild in the color purple to help the lipstick last throughout the day. I continued my dark look by wearing a black lace maxi dress with side splits that I brought on clearance at Target this past summer. The dress is sleeveless so I choose a draped front jacket and black opaque tights to make the dress an fall appropriate outfit.

Go Faux

Hello, Everyone!!!.
On Monday it was a very brisk day in New York City, I woke up to temperatures in the lower 40's. I decided to layer up my faux fur vest instead of wearing a huge coat, I refuse to accept the fact that it is Fall now. I added warmth to my outfit by wearing a matching thin sweater underneath my silk blouse from Forever 21. When I first brought these cargo pants from H&M more than two years ago they fit very tight but after my weight loss I was able to send them to a seamstress to fit my current size.
After you lose weight you do not have to get rid of your clothes that no longer fit, a simple trip to the tailor will do the trick.

Peplum Power

Who doesn"t love a good peplum, right?!!!. It is the perfect way to define your waist by accentuating your curves while concealing your midsection. I've worn this faux leather peplum top from Target in numberous of ways. It is perfect to wear over midi dresses or slim-figuring bottoms such as pencil skirts or skinny pants.

A recreation of what I wore today...
