Last Days of Short - Shorts

Hello, Everyone!!!.

 

 

Thank God, the Fall season officially starts next week on Wednesday. I am looking forward to temperatures only reaching low to mid 70's and not mid 90 degrees. However before the temps start to cool down, I've decided to give my favorite denim cut-offs one last run. Over the weekend, I choose this outfit to wear to my morning class and later out for date night. I have to admit that all of my shorts I've created myself from old jeans I already own or from thrift shops. I love the option of making shorts exactly the way I want from scratch. I paired my denim cut-offs with what else but my favorite denim shirt. I  accessorized with a coral flowered statement necklace that I rarely wear but I figured it match perfectly with the woven bag and my pedicure.

The Little BW (Black & white) Dress

 

 

 

Hello, Everyone!!!.

 

I know we've all heard of the "LBD" also known as the little black dress, but let me introduce you to the little black and white dress. Stripes are one of my favorite prints because of its versatility. Stripes can be worn with solid colors or unexpected combinations such as floral or even leopard print. Last spring I wore this striped midi dress as a pencil skirt which I paired with a graphic sweatshirt (seen HERE ). I am a firm believer in getting the most out of the pieces in your wardrobe. I decided to wear the dress on its own with minimum accessories . I choose to accessorize with a silver choker style necklace and big round sunglasses.

Hello, Everyone !!!. 

 

 

I think I've worn denim on denim , millions of times on my blog ( seen HERE , HERE and HERE). What can I say, it is definitely my go-to combination. This time around I decided to trade in my favorite skinny jeans for a vintage - style denim skirt from Boohoo. According to the dressing rules for pear shaped women (i.e.  women who are heavy on bottom than on top) are suppose to stick to A - line dresses and skirts. Clearly I've ignored that rule and choose to accentuate my hips with this figure hugging pencil skirt. To pull off the denim on denim look off, its best to choose denim pieces in two different variations.  I paired the denim skirt with a sleeveless denim shirt that I tied at the waist so my shape won't disappear. The sunglasses I'm wearing are truly vintage, they were passed down to me from a family friend. These sunglasses give a 70's vibe with my big hair and long denim skirt.
