First Day of School

Hello, Everyone !!!!. My mini vacation is officially over (insert sad face here). Today is the beginning of my spring semester and that only means one thing TORTURE  just kidding. To help me get in the swing of things I picked the perfect outfit for my first day back.

We are still experiencing the aftermath of Winter Storm Juno, honestly I can't wait for the snow and ice to melt so I can wear my heel boots without the risking falling on my backside.

Today my outfit started from the bottom to top, so I choose a pair of brown over the knee flats boots to keep me grounded.

I choose to pair the boots with my favorite high waisted skinny jeans that fit perfectly in them.

To add some warmth I strategically layered a long sleeve t-shirt under a tailored blazer by DKNY that I actually purchased from a thrift store a few years ago.

I did not stop there with the layers, I belted the blazer with a wide brown belt to create the ultimate hourglass shape.

I decided to go against wearing any extra accessories to create a simple and chic look.

I finished the look with a recent beauty find that I discovered at my favorite store Target because you can go there for only one thing. My only intention was to find an affordable drugstore foundation but after walking down the aisles I stumbled across a brand by the name of Black Radiance.

I quickly found the perfect match in their foundation and this amazing red lipstick. I will be buying more of their products in the near future, more like tomorrow.

Outfit Details:
T-shirt: Target
Blazer: DKNY
Jeans: Nordstrom
Boots: Target
Belt: Banana Republic
Lipstick: Black Radiance (5014)

Wish me luck, I'm gonna need it!!

Until nrxt time, XOXO

Shirt-Dressing

Two Outfits, Two Days in a Row, I'm on a Roll!!!

Today I dug in the back of my closet for this Prabal Gurung for Target shirt dress. When I initially purchased this dress last year it fitted perfectly but after my weight loss it fits looser. To fix this problem, I took a metal-plated belt off a coat that I brought from H&M to cinch in my waist. I added a pair of comfortable black wedges to give me extra height (I suffer from height envy lol).
I created an higher-end version of my outfit on Polyvore because the weather does not permit for great photo taking. As shown in the set below, you can easily wear your shirt dresses from summer to fall by wearing a pair of wedge booties or over the knee boots on colder days.
