Cozy Chic

Old Man Winter is coming, Can you feel it?..
This is the crucial moment when you have to pick outfits that will keep you stylish but most importantly warm. I think I achieved that yesterday by strategic layering. Although I am a Winter baby I still find myself contemplating on what to wear when the temperature says one thing but it feels much colder.

I started out with this amazing  oversized sweater that I found at a thrift store but it is from H&M Who would give up this great piece, but you know what they say "Someones trash is another's treasure".

My foundation pieces were a simple beige tank and dark skinny denim because I wanted to keep focus on this awesome sweater!!. I decided to cinch the waist with a wide belt that closes with gold hardware, How chic, right?!!!.. I brought it at Banana Republic when I worked there a few years ago.

I completed the look with a gold choker necklace and brown knee high boots from Banana Republic.

A little back-story on these boots, I found them at a thrift store for $9!!! and they just happen to be from Banana Republic as well. They have the right amount of heel so you are able brave the cold

I guess you can say that I had a little bit of a thrift shopping problem, huh?!!...

I finished the look with my favorite camouflage printed
coat and matching cowl.

Crazy for Camo

Hello, I'm still in studying mode but this is what I wore to school today. In this day and age we can find inspiration from any and everywhere including fashion blogs, social media, etc. Gone are the days when people depended upon fashion magazines to find inspiration for their own style. Today I was inspired by one of my favorite fashion bloggers Julie Sarinana from Sincerely Jules. She has amazing style  and wears everything so effortlessly. Once I saw a picture of this outfit on her blog (seen here) I  immediately recreated the look with the items in my wardrobe. It is the perfect casual outfit to runaround in school with style. I started with this 3/4 sleeved coral sweatshirt that I brought about five years from Banana Republic when I worked there. I paired it with light wash jeans, nude accessories and I also included bangles and camouflage jacket to finish off the look.

Top: Banana Republic
Jeans: Forever 21
Flats: Sam & Libby for Target
Jacket:Target
Bag: Thrift store
Jewelry: From Mom's Closet

Sorry for the quality of the picture, but its the best I could do under these circumstances
Enjoy!!!

Until next time, XOXO
