What to Wear

After you plan on where you are going for Thanksgiving ,the ONLY other question is what are you going to wear?.  Whether you are staying in the comfort of your own home or visiting your friends and family homes, it is still possible to stay stylish while you stuff your face.
Here are a few Thanksgiving outfit ideas to get you to your destination in style.

DINNER WITH  FRIENDS AND FAMILY

Off White

You can not go wrong with a chic turtleneck dress or a pair of leggings when you are spending time with your friends and family. When you are with friends and family you want to be two things, comfortable and stylish at the same time. Both pieces take very little effort to dress up as long as you  pick the the right accessories.
This cashmere turtleneck dress will keep you warm and the loose fit will give you extra room to eat as much as you want. I paired the dress with the perfect faux- shearling jacket with an oversize collar. To add more warmth I choose a pair of thigh high boots, a slouchy hat and opaque tights.

Poncho Pouch

If you want to go super casual but remain chic, a cape is always a great option. I personally love capes because you are able to keep the rest of your outfit pretty simple while the cape glamorizes your look. I choose to layer a wool turtleneck underneath this oversize cape and I finished the look with simple black leggings, pointy-toe booties and a fabulous black bag with chain details.

FANCY NIGHT OUT

Winter Whites

If you have reservation at a nice restaurant with your significant other, this is when you should flaunt your fashion muscle. Who said you have can't wear white after labor day?, NOT ME!!. The key to wearing white in the colder months depends solely on the weight and material of the item. It is also important not to wear stark white but rather choose pieces in cream, off-white or ivory in different textures to break up the look. I choose a pair of high waist wide legged trousers that I paired with a mock neck crop top, textured wool coat and nude heels.

Color Blocking

The midi skirt has become one of my favorites for the season and I'm so happy to report that you can wear it all year long.  I choose this khaki green pleated midi skirt because it is the perfect color for Fall. To continue my new obsession with Winter whites I choose a cream cropped sweater and complimentary purple pumps to finish the look. I accessorized the look by adding a cool pair of oversize cat-eye sunglasses, a nude clutch and a statement choker necklace.

BONUS LOOK

Cool in Black

The final look is perfect if you are hosting a dinner party at your home. If at any moment the heels become unbearable after a long day of cooking,  you can easily swap them out for your house slippers I'm sure your guest won't mind.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Until next time, XOXO
